Hello, fellow Rogues! Today I want to put the spotlight on an opportunity for you to help support something awesome. Each year, I go on a medical mission trip to Guatemala. Among the free services we offer to various Guatemalan people (medical, dental, vision, and pharmaceutical care), we also give women in the villages we visit pedicures.
To read about an experience I had with pedicures in Guatemala last year, click here.
Once again, I am going with the La Mision/Two Rivers team to Guatemala next week. We are currently trying to raise money to help with the cost of pedicure kit supplies. Each woman who receives a pedicure will get to keep the entire kit.
Each kit consists of:
Travel sized shampoo, body wash, and lotion
Pedicure tools: nail clippers, toe separators, pumice stone
These women benefit from the kits long after the pedicure is over. They use every part of them. Each kit costs a total of about $5. So, if you donate just $5 to our cause, you’re directly supporting one Guatemalan woman. If you donate $20, you’re directly supporting 4 Guatemalan women. You get the idea.
I cannot tell you how positive this experience can be for these women. If you get pedicures, you know how relaxing they are. These women work hard day in and day out for their families, often with no thanks and no recognition. The pedicures are a rare time of relaxation and recognition for the hard work the Guatemalan women do in their villages. It is a joy to serve them in this way, and you have the opportunity to partner with us in that endeavor!
If you feel led to donate, here is a link to the GoFundMe page: Pedicures for Guatemala.
Please consider including a tip with your donation, as that will cover the transaction fee that GoFundMe charges.
Even if you cannot give, we so appreciate you taking the time to read this post. Please partner with us in prayer that the funds will be raised completely!
